I have to use the earbuds that came with my iPhone because I lost a rubber piece for my Skull Candy earbuds. I can honestly say, I hate these. They sound as good as the Skull Candy ones I use, but I can't get these comfortable in my ear, at all. Why did Apple have to try and reinvent the earbud? I actually liked the old ones that came with my iPod.

And the main internet connection for the school is down, so I'm on the guest network which is somehow even more painfully slow. That image took me three tries to upload.

But hey, at least I get service for Pandora on my phone, and I've done literally nothing at school all day except take a painfully simple math test.

I have never liked the earbuds from Apple. The round ones hurt my ears and these new ones fall out of my ears. I rarely listen with headphones, though, so I don't feel much urgency in replacing them or spending lots of money on something else.

I think you actually stumbled upon the point yourself.. "They sound as good as the Skull Candy ones I use". Now I'll give you that.. they don't fit/sit comfortably in anyones ears... but they DO sound rather good (in a generic cheap way).

I'm the exact opposite. hated the old apple earbuds, had to use the felts and cram them in just right to get them to work. these sound fantastic for $15 earbuds and fit me like a dream.

But you're not the first person I've heard say this. I think because of their vaguely ear-canal shape, they work really well in the average ear and can be terrible for someone a standard deviation or two away from the mean.

The old Apple ones did too, and didn't look radically different from any other earbud I've ever used. I think I finally got them in my ear right, well, I don't have the urge to rip them out.

Oddly enough, those Apple earphones are the only ones that I can wear comfortably without them falling out all the time. Everything else either drops out as soon as I move my head, or causes me a not-insignificant amount of discomfort. But I have weird ears.

You have a point. I have what I'd consider big ears, and my girlfriend has small ears. Neither of us can get these headphones in our ears without having to adjust them every minute. Yet my friend never has problems.

:) I HATE any IN EAR shite anyway (got a slight case of Tinnitus). But as IN EAR goes, apple did rather good. Now I'd rather spend a $100 on some on ear AKGs or something..

We have three sets of these at the house from when my parents and brother got S5s, I might have to at least steal the rubber bits off one them.

Over ear stuff drives me INSANE for some reason. Possibly because it squishes my ear into the arm for my glasses and makes my ear hurt.

ON ear.. not OVER ear :) I can't use over ear due to some piercings I have.. but I understand what you mean.

Yup. By far some of the best, cheap in-ears I've ever had.

I have the opposite issue. The regular ones hurt my ears like crazy but I like the iPhone ones ok.

I actually like these. The old ones wouldn't fit in my ears but I have no issues with these.
